Our wood finish is used on case goods and as the main furniture finish. It is a durable finish that requires very little maintenance but should be treated with similar respect to that given to an antique piece.
The build-up of dust in the corners of frames etc. may be removed by regular light dusting with a soft, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth or soft brush. The surface should only be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild detergent if necessary – do not use bleach, scouring pads, etc. No liquids should be allowed to remain on the surface, especially any detergent, bleach, or strongly colored liquid. Wood is a natural product and requires regular maintenance to maintain its durability and appearance. The surface should not be cleaned using any wax or any spray furniture polish as these make the finish susceptible to staining and impair the effectiveness of the future application of oil. Avoid leaving wet items – i.e. cloths, make-up removal pads, bottles and cups, etc. – on the surfaces.
